Chef De Cuisine
Deck 84’s Chef de Cuisine, Katt Dreyfuss is a self-taught culinary expert with a passion for creating exceptional dishes that excite the palate. Raised in Southern California, Dreyfuss knew she wanted to be a chef from a young age spending much of her time watching cooking shows, reading cookbooks or magazines and eating any and everything she could. But it wasn’t until the age of 24 that she took her first leap into the culinary world starting a line cook at the 2 Michelin-starred, Spago in Beverly Hills in 2017. She then took her talents to the Boston area from 2018 to 2022 where she worked at notable locations such as James Beard-nominated Tiger Mama and Haley-Henry Wine Bar. She then moved to South Florida in June 2022; joining the team at Deck 84 in January 2023.
Chef Dreyfuss’ philosophy towards cooking revolves around her constant hunger for knowledge and the desire to keep learning. In addition to her extensive restaurant experience, Dreyfuss also competed (and won) in Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games Beat the Judges: Spicy which aired in February 2023. Using her knowledge of world cuisine and fine dining techniques, her philosophy to Deck 84’s sushi program is to deliver balanced, clean flavors; using interesting ingredients and the freshest fish, including some locally-sourced species.
